On 1st of December 2015, Volunteers Initiative Nepal received 5 volunteers on regular long term project. The volunteers are from different countries for different projects. Among them there were two volunteers Carlos from Spain and Christian from Germany who were accepted for “Teaching English at Community School“ project . The volunteers were placed on Nyagyur Memorial School which is a community school of Thankot, where 350 Earthquake affected victims ‘children were sheltered and given education with all the basic needs. The children were all collected from most earthquake affected districts.
The volunteers have been taking 7 periods each day in the different classes with the community school teachers’ .They have been providing the English classes as well as educating the children about the Health and Hygiene .The children are also obeying the volunteers teachers and learning the methods of cleaning themselves and the surrounding effectively. The healthy habits have been followed by the students sincerely which are provided by the Angels (Volunteers). The generous volunteers were seemed very passionate about the work and caring of their student’s health and Hygiene. The volunteers do first aid too when they find the needy children.
They have been helping the community school administration for fetching the water and cleaning the school environment too. The two volunteers seemed very energetic, active who are keeping smile on their faces and spreading happiness to their surroundings.
