Opportunity for the community children

On Tuesday, 5^th January 2015 volunteers Initiative Nepal has welcomed nineteen volunteers for group camp and four for work-camp projects. The group volunteers are from Korea who is working for children camp and construction dividing into two groups. Similarly, the work-camp volunteers are also working on construction project but they are from Hongkong, and USA. The volunteering site for all the volunteers is different areas of Jitpurphedi.VIN has organised the one day induction and provided the useful information to make the volunteers crystal clear about the project and their objectives.
The main objective of the community children camp is to provide unique opportunity of overall development, creativity & fun-time for community children utilizing their vacation period. The children of jitpurphedi are free on this time due to the winter vacation so this program supports a lot for the children on their physical, mental and social development. It also encourages the community children to participate and learn different activities. Basically, the camp is prioritizing more the poor and disadvantaged children who actually have vacation between the ages 6-14. Physical Exercise, arts and crafts, sports and singing and dancing are the main activities which are included in the program. Mr. Shyam, program coordinator coordinates the community children camp project and local facilitator, MR. kishor is assisting shyam and leading the Korean group volunteers.
