12 Women of Kavresthali are moving towards achieving their dream come true. These women were living their life fulfilling the dreams and needs of their family members and only getting involved in the household activities. So kind in heart and lovely simile in their faces, a hope to raise their income made them get involved into the training program organized by Volunteers Initiative Nepal (VIN). VIN has been supporting to empower women by microcredit, income generation and women education and life skills project in different working areas. The main focusing areas include Kavresthali and Jitpurphedi that are rural village of Kathmandu District, It is popular for its natural beauty and is located 6-9 km away from the ring road of Kathmandu.
The beads and Jewelry making training was organized and conducted for 15 days. On 21st June, 2019, the training closing ceremony was organized by VIN. Mrs. Kabita Adhikari was the trainer in the program who is an expert for making beads and Jeweler. She is the inhabitant of Kavresthali and is very interested in supporting the women of her own area. She made women motivated during the training and is still supporting the women’s after the completion of the training program too. At the closing ceremony of the program, 11 women along with the trainer, made a commitment to continue the business, find the market, and raise their income. They dream of being role model group of Kavresthali in Jewelry making business. After this day, 12 women entrusted each other with a commitment to make their team stronger and better their lives, and to generate a sustainable income. They became motivated and empowered. They started their own dream of being an entrepreneur and their future began!
