29th May, 2014: With an aim of empowering women of Taluwa VDC, VIN has been conducting different trainings to women group previously formed by the organization in each wards. Now with the interest of women VIN is establishing women cooperative in Taluwa VDC.
Women’s meeting has finalized the name as ‘Taluwa women multipurpose cooperatives Ltd’ and formed executive committee and management committee with representation from each ward. The cooperative is at final stage of registration. After registration, women will get rid from going Okhaldhunga for saving their earning and for loan. They them self will be the owner of the cooperative.
In the women cooperative, all the women of each women group will be the members and each of them will buy certain number of share for ownership. Only members will have facility for saving, loan and different types of trainings.
Jitpur Phedi Agricultural Women Cooperative Limited” is running very successfully in Jitpurphedi, more than 500 women’s have been benefited from women’s cooperative. The situation of women has positively changed after the establishment of cooperative in Jitpur. VIN aims to achieve similar success in taluwa as well.
