Jolande Disser from Netherlands started volunteering with volunteers Initiative Nepal funder Public Health and medical care program. She will be here until 24th January 2016 in the project. According to her program schedule she will be working every Sunday and Thursday in the community health post to assist Dr. Laxmi with general checkups of the community people and her remaining 3 days will be for the awareness WASH campaign with the Women Health survey.
Jolande worked together with another health volunteer Dominique from France. Dominique conducted various presentations for the community people in the Kot. They included the different ways of washing hands with soap and water and different process of purification of water in the presentation. The community people seemed very interested and concentrated on the presentation. In additional to that, Krishna Maya, local Nepali volunteer translated the presentation into Nepali language in a very effective way. At the end of the presentation hygienic kits were distributed to each people present.
This very effective presentation was delivered 3 days in a week to different community people .At the same time the women health survey was conducted in the community. In this way, the people were benefitted in two ways in this project.
