VIN welcomed fourteen international volunteers for work camp today. The volunteers are for post disaster and relief project. They are from France, Italy, Hong Kong, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan and Japan. The volunteers started the project with one day program orientation in the VIN office. They will be here with us till 20th July, 2016. They are supporting in reconstruction of the road maintenance work- Trishuli highway to Koirala Village. This team of international volunteers for work camp will have a local volunteer as their team leader. VIN has appointed Biplav Jamkatel as their team leader and Permission Tiwari is another local volunteer who will be in the team. Both of the local volunteers are well trained by VIN.
The volunteers will be divided into two different groups. The two groups will work in two houses at Thulagaun and help VIN for networking related to construction projects. The group will have one day induction program.
Next induction is on Tuesdat 12th July, 2016 for the Belgium group. There are seven volunteers in the group between the ages 18-30. They will be here with us till 22nd July, 2016. Among them all those international volunteers for work camp, two are for construction, four are for teaching English in the community school and one is working for women empowerment project. They will also have a whole one day induction.
We will have our regular long midterm volunteers on Friday, 15th July, 2016. They will have three days induction starting from Friday till Sunday with the sightseeing of beautiful cultural sites.
