VIN has been providing different kinds of support for Jitpurphedi Women Agriculture Co-Operative Limited (JWACL) from initial start of the group.The main goal is to women empowerment. This month JWACL conducted 6thAGM with 625 women members. The main goal of the meeting was review of 6th AGM and elect board president, vice president, treasure, secretary, members.
During the meeting time they reviewed what were strong points and weakness of the group. They Shared feedback for improvement, shareholders should be arrive at a time and be time efficient, Board members should be clear about their roles and their objectives. There was some lacking of communication with guest, so co-operative should be communicate well with all members and plan the tasks accordingly. They also discussed how board members should be present on time and present good annual reports. It’s a good thing that there was no conflict and all members put their view about VIN and co-operative ,well management of the program.
In this time VIN supported to facilitate to women member for sharing feedback and selection board members and documentation of meeting. There was equal participation of women members in feedback sharing, electing members and supporting in each activities. They were looking very happy from new board member selection process. All women have focused on VIN’ staffs salary continuing. In this year co-operative was also indirectly victimized by earthquake. There were not good loan provided to members, no chance to sell seed and chemical fertilizers. So they requested VIN to continue staffs salary and other supports. They appreciated VIN’s contribution to develop co-operative and women empowerment. And also they gave thanks to VIN for great work of temporary shelter construction and toilet construction.
