Overall my experience with VIN was a positive one. I was a little anxious about coming to an unfamiliar country and volunteering, but VIN made the whole process very enjoyable and beneficial for both the community and myself. From the beginning VIN’s organized manner made me feel comfortable being in an unfamiliar place. The induction process every volunteer goes through helped me learn about not only how and what I would be doing but also several tips and facts about Nepal and it’s culture which made my stay here much easier. A pleasant surprise from my time spent with VIN was the amount of friends I made in the form of other VIN volunteers. The other volunteers were very friendly and a great learning experience being that they where from all over the world. I would recommend VIN to anyone with an open mind and a genuine want to help others.
