VIN has been conducting the women education and life skills class for women’s group members in Jitpurphedi community Kathmandu. It is more effective for women empowerment. On September, VIN has conducted the class of women right, entrepreneurship skills to women with international volunteers. This week VIN organized meeting and class in Athmil and Dadagaun. The main objectives of training is to introduce the women right; focus on women right, self esteem, stress management and entrepreneurship skills . The training is conducting from Monday to Friday, two hours per day for all community.
International volunteers Maxim from UK and Alba from Spain, facilitated the classes in different places. Women were interested in their classes as they were aware on their rights, and business skills. Volunteers explained about on rights in general, how rights are enforced in Nepal and about the process of law making in Nepal as they seemed to want to know about those things. In addition to this, coping stress and increasing self esteem and entrepreneur skills topics were discussed. The participants’ level was different from each other. Some women are educated, can speak English also so they were able to communicate and speak together about the rights. Women seemed to have enjoyed the class a lot and they were thankful to the organizers and the volunteers.
