VIN has been supporting various volunteer program for community development in JItpur community. The main intention of the project was to construct and fence the compound walls with retaining wall of gabion. The international and national volunteers were involved in construction works and VIN provided raw materials and skilled laborers. The main objectives was to protect the school from the danger of landslide ,to safeguard the lives of students and staff of the school, to help in making healthy environment in school premises. This project ran from August 2014 to now. The majors activities has been done ;Problem identification., meeting with school management committee, Co-ordination with Soil conservation office (HMG),Purchase of raw materials, Mobilization of volunteers, Conduction of construction activities, follow—up and monitoring of work .
The project is still running. The local people of the area are quite happy and satisfied by the work done by the involved organizations. They have thanked VIN and have been supportive towards the project. They are hopeful that this project will be fruitful and will play a great role in the development of education in the village. They are very positive and are hoping that VIN will continue their good work and help the village in the arriving future as well.
