Yesterday VIN took two work camp volunteers and long midterm volunteers for sight-seeing. This sight-seeing was conducted as a part of induction program. The volunteers were taken to Pashupati temple and Soyhambhunath. There were total 26 volunteers who gathered at Hotel Premium and VIN staff along with a local guide took them for sight-seeing. The trip began at 10 am in the morning and ended at 3 pm in the afternoon.
Among the 26 volunteers who participated in the sight-seeing, one work camp is at VIN for post disaster project and the other work-camp is for total sanitation project. The long mid-term volunteers are for Agro, monastery, teacher development, orphanage home, environment, construction, teacher development, cultural immersion and teaching and water research projects.
The sight-seeing for volunteers is organized for all the international volunteers who get involved in the projects of VIN. VIN has made this arrangement of sight-seeing as a way of making international volunteers aware of the cultural and traditional reality of Nepal. Besides, such activities as sight-seeing helps to make them understand the life of local Nepalese in a much better way.
