On the month of August, Volunteers Initiative Nepal received 59 International volunteers for different projects. .VIN received the Volunteers for post disaster relief project, Health and sanitation, Monastery program, Filming and Documentary, Garbage management, school development and climate change project. For these programs it received 11 regular volunteers including 2 job Shadowing and 48 workcamp volunteers. VIN has introduced with 11 workcamp volunteers for school development projects in Okhaldhunga.
Volunteers Initiative Nepal mobilised 44 volunteers for building transitional homes for our focused community Jitpur and Okharpauwa. VIN has been successfully completed 550 transitional homes for OKharpauwa, Okhaldhunga and Jitpur.162 national volunteers and payable skilled workers of VIN also involved in the construction process. Our transitional homes are constructed by using roofing tin and locally available materials like wood, bamboo. Basically, VIN recruited local volunteers with providing theoretical and practical training about their role on disaster management, team work, proper communication, first aid, risk and hazards, construction skill and methods of using the tools. Similarly, VIN has been successful to mobilise 2 volunteers for Health and sanitation, 1 for monastery, 2for filming and documentary and 2 for job shadowing.
VIN has been working ever since in various development sectors to enhance the livelihood of poor and the marginalised communities in Nepal. Its aim to empower the woman, child and youth of the community and all the children get back to school and all the family get back to their normal life without any fear and create smile on their faces.
