Katerina Tsoulea

I had the chance to be a Job Shadower in VIN, in the Office Administration and Volunteer Coordination project  through a European program called Global Place. This gave me the opportunity to closely observe how everything works and runs in the organization, collaborate with the office staff, learn about all the different projects run by VIN and visit volunteers who were participating in various projects, such as construction, Buddhist monasteries, the health center and community schools. VIN’s work and contribution is remarkable concerning the relief of people and communities in need.
I have to admit that apart from being particularly educative, this experience has had a significantly strong impact on my perspective and personality. Nepali people really captured me with their strength, patience and politeness. I am grateful that VIN gave me the opportunity to merge with the Nepali culture and society, and to help in the post disaster recovery procedures.
