There is no better way to travel the world then by leaving a positive impact where you stayed. Some people don’t understand volunteerism, but to us it’s different. There is something powerful about working. For the genuine will to help others rather than working for money. You see the situation differently and that changes something inside you. Even if you didn’t do much work, you still helped.
You see the roots of traditions by living with a host family. You get to be part of the culture with them. I can’t think of a better way to travel and really get to feel the culture.
VIN staffs are all good people. They are organized and punctual. I highly recommend a program with VIN if you plan to travel to Nepal, you will be in good hands.
