On 28th of April, the volunteer coordinator did a follow up visit to the volunteers working at different communities in Kavresthali. This regular follow up to the volunteers are to ensure that the volunteers are comfortable in their host family and are facing no problems in their projects.
Three volunteers Andre (Switzerland), William (belgium) and Valentin (France) and 1 local volunteer, Rajan are working for the construction project at Ward No.5 in Bhedigoth at Kavresthali. They are reconstructing the house of a poor family and VIN is assisting them by providing the materials worth of Rs. 50,000. But during the follow up only two international volunteer, Andre and William along with Rajan were working in buiding the house as the other volunteer Valentine had gone for the chitwan trip that day. Till now, they have collapsed the earthquake affected house in 2 days and now are preparing for the foundation.
Agro farm volunteer Mamoru (Japan) is volunteering for the agro farm project in Kavresthali as well. He is here since the past 2 weeks and will work for another 2 weeks. He already has an experience of working for the agro farm so he has no problem working in the fields. He works in different fields around that community for different families. Alice from France who is working for the women empowerment project is working on making questionnaires for the classes for the women.
VIN has been working in different projects by mobilizing the skilled local and international volunteers to promote equality, economic well-being and basic human rights.
