On the Month of January, VIN received 14 students for group volunteers from Bucknell University from USA. Likewise, on the month of May VIN welcomed 11 group volunteers from USA for Jitpurphedi Children Development program and construction and manual work.

This group volunteers arrived on 10th May, Saturday. From the airport they were directly taken to their host family. On the second day, VIN gave the group volunteer a brief introduction on the organization, Orientation on program, Health and hygiene, Cultural tips, work related Nepali language class. The present group volunteers are with this program for two weeks. The volunteers are required to work on construction work, teaching the kids and school infrastructure development projects.

The volunteers seem to be very interested and willing to start the work at community. For the first 5 days they will be constructing toilets in different households of Jitpurphedi VDC and other days they will be working in different schools in the community. They are divided into different groups. They will also be facilitated with a half day sightseeing in two different historic and religious places of Kathmandu.
If you think that program like this can really make difference in the lives of marginalized community then join us today!
