Garbage Manage Campaign 2014

25th May, 2014 We successfully completed Garbage Management campaign 2014 on 17th of May under our International Workcamp Project. The campaign was conducted in Jitpurphedi Community between 5th to 17th of May.
The main objectives of the workcamp were:

  • To raise awareness about solid waste management within the Local community people.
  • To raise awareness about hygiene and sanitation within the community.
  • To prepare local people to follow an appropriate method of waste management.
  • To collect scattered rubbish in the village and manage them.
  • To display information that highlights the benefits of waste management.

 
The two volunteers from Hong Kong, VolTra, one local and some community people went to the households and major places of the community to aware the people and collect garbage of that area. They were teaching people the way to separate bio-degradable and non-degradable waste. In overall, this international workcamps has made positive impact in the local community.
