New project launched: Sustainable Development with Humanitarian Aid Volunteers 2(SuD HAV 2)
The cooperation project SuD HAV 2 was launched in France in October 2018. The project brings together 13 organizations, 3 from EU and 10 from non-EU countries.
As part of the project, 44 European volunteers will be deployed to Non-EU countries over the next 2 years. Expert volunteers will be deployed to 10 countries to carry out humanitarian work in the communities in various fields: education, community development, organizational development, medical services. The volunteer positions are open for European citizens and long-term residents in EU countries.
The EU Aid Volunteers initiative aims at strengthening the capacities of local communities and organisations to deal with disasters. In total, 4000 community members, 1100 students and 1000 children will benefit from the project. 200 community leaders will be empowered through study visits and trainings.
The EU Aid volunteers deployment projects are implemented in cooperation with Mondo from Estonia, ADICE from France and ASPEm from Italy.
The project is funded by the European Commission.
