HOUSE CONSTRUCTION,   to

“Day of the earthquake was scary. My house collapsed but nobody died.

The earthquake affected our lives in many ways. After it happened we had to find a place in the field to set up a tent. We have been living in that tent since then because we had no money to build a house on our own. Life has been very hard. We started building a new house with the help of VIN four months ago. We expect it to be ready in one months’ time.

We are happy that VIN is helping us. We got financial and volunteers support for the reconstruction from VIN which made rebuilding possible.

We are not pleased with our government which promised us 300 000 NPR after the earthquake, but we have only received 50 000 NPR so far. That is why we want more international help. We want to learn skills that can help us earn money to provide ourselves.”
