Namaste! My name is Labina Thapa Magar, and I teach at Shree Nawa Prativa School in Bhadaure, Okhaldhunga, Nepal. My journey with Early Childhood Development (ECD) education started in 2013 when I first connected with Volunteers Initiative Nepal (VIN). This experience was a life-changing moment for me. Through VIN’s ECD teacher training, I learned essential teaching skills that have helped me become a better, more effective teacher. Working alongside international volunteers opened my eyes to fresh, innovative teaching methods and new ideas I hadn’t experienced before.

The Impact of ECD Teacher Training

The teacher training I received from VIN completely reshaped my approach to teaching. I learned to make lessons fun and interactive, which helped the children stay engaged and excited about learning. Through child-centered learning, the children became more interested in their lessons and eager to participate. I also realized how important it is to create a nurturing and safe classroom environment where children feel valued.
