Gatha is a public health practitioner with Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health. The degree I hold and the experience I received from working in the grass root community to understand about the socio-demography, epidemiology of few health conditions and its associated factors, sanitation and hygiene and overall health condition of the community, inspires me for the promoting, preventing and protecting health of people and work to keep the healthy people even healthier. She is intern of Child Protection Project at ViN, where she works along with the international volunteer (European Solidarity Corps volunteer) in seven different public and private schools of Jitpurfedi, Tarkeshwor.
Gatha is responsible for helping and working along with European Solidarity Corps volunteer in child protection project. She is responsible for planning, managing the activities to be delivered at school according to the monthly action plan. She has a responsibility to visit and organize meeting with the school principal, facilitator and previous club members, form or reform the child club in each seven school, publication and installation of wall magazine every month, content collection for souvenir magazine, life skill trainings for students, special Computer and English class, organizing intra or inter school competition as well as parents’ teacher meeting.
Gatha has experience of data collection in the rural community of the Nuwakot and Sindhupalchowk. She has a three month of volunteering experience in NYMAT, Nepal. Also, three month of volunteering experience in Volunteer Initiatives Nepal (ViN).
Gatha holds a Bachelor degree in Public Health which inspires her to work for health promotion, prevention and protection of community people of Nepal.
She has good rapport building and communication skill, team leadership skill, adaptability and problem solving and decision making.
Gatha is affiliated to Nepal Health Professional Council (NHPC) and is registered public health professional.
Gatha has a passion of working in remote community of Nepal specially in hilly area in public health sector. Besides that, she loves spending time gardening, singing and painting.
She has been playing a significant role in the organization. From volunteering in public health, journalism and disaster risk reduction program to the internship in child protection project, she has made good public relation with the communities as well as with schools and students of Jitpurphedi community.
