Introduction
Pabitra is a gentle and thoughtful child who is always ready to help her classmates and family. Whenever someone gets hurt while playing, she is the first to run and offer help—carefully cleaning wounds and comforting them with her kind words. It is no surprise that she dreams of becoming a doctor someday, so she can heal others and bring smiles to those in pain.
Pabitra Thapa Magar is an 11-year-old studying in Grade 5 at Shree Sapta Kanya Basic School, Okhaldhunga. Living in Siddhicharan-02, Okhaldhunga, she walks a long way to reach school every day. Even with the many challenges she faces, her love for learning and desire to care for others make her stand out among her peers.
Family & Challenges
Pabitra lives with her parents, Harka Bahadur Thapa Magar and Gita Maya Thapa Magar, along with her two sisters and three brothers. Her parents work tirelessly on their small piece of farmland, but the family earns only around NPR 25,000 a year. With such limited income, it is extremely difficult to cover food, clothing, medical needs, and educational expenses for five children.
Despite the hardships, Pabitra remains optimistic. After school, she helps her mother fetch water, collect firewood, and take care of her younger siblings. She studies late into the evening under a dim light, determined to chase her dream of becoming a doctor one day.
The Need for Sponsorship
Sponsorship is essential to keep Pabitra in school and help her continue her education without interruption. It will provide her with school supplies, uniforms, tuition support, and access to better nutrition and healthcare. With this support, Pabitra can focus on her studies and move closer to fulfilling her dream of becoming a doctor.
The Impact of Sponsorship
Supporting Pabitra means investing in a young girl’s potential to bring positive change to her family and community. Sponsorship will ease her family’s financial burden, give Pabitra the confidence to keep learning, and inspire others to believe that even the smallest support can make the biggest difference.
Conclusion
Pabitra dreams not just of wearing a white coat, but of using it to bring comfort and care to those in need. With your sponsorship, she can continue her education, grow with dignity, and one day return as a doctor who heals both bodies and hearts. Your support can turn her dream into a lifelong gift of hope—for her family, her village, and for Nepal’s future.
