In a school located in a remote area in Nepal, boys rush to the ground as soon as the break time comes. They start playing football without eating lunch. While they are running and laughing, you would be surprised to see them playing not with a ball, but with a plastic bottle. One boy starts to dribble the bottle, overtaking other players. His “footbottle” skills are amazing.
His name is Basanta Adhikari. He is 12-year-old boy residing in Jordhara, Thulachhap of Siddhicharan Municipality Ward No. 2, Okhaldhunga, Nepal. He’s currently in the 7th grade at Raktamala Basic School in Jordhara. He likes not only playing sport, but also studying especially the English class. He has the passion to continue his learning because he dreams of joining the army in the future.
Despite his potential, however, his family faces significant financial challenges. These challenges put his education at risk.

As the same as Shishlr in the grade7, his twin brother, Basanta has 12 family members. His father is working as a photographer in Dobai, and mother is working in a factory in India. They are supporting the livelihood of all 12 family members, which makes it difficult for them to meet even basic needs. Their limited finances mean they struggle to afford essentials like school fees, books, uniforms, and healthcare for Shishlr.
