On 14th September, 2016, Volunteers Initiative Nepal marked Children’s Day by organizing various programs in the schools of Jitpurphedi community. The Kalikasharan School, Jitpur Higher Secondary School and Northstar Secondary School organized various activities like quiz contest, debate, health camp and other interactive activities for the children. Almost all the students from the school were engaged in these activities.
The day started with a rally where there were slogans about the awareness of children’s right. The program was organized by United Children Club. Around 1,000 students participated in the celebration. The program was also attended by VIN’s staff, volunteers, parents, various social workers and community people.
VIN has been working for the children’s development by running various projects in the community. Many projects have gained success. VIN through the children development program wants to make sure that every children from the marginalized community get to enjoy their right to education, health, hygiene and other overall developmental activities as much as the other children do. So, be it by providing scholarship to them or by conducting various classes and interactive activities, VIN is always willing to see the children growing healthy.
