26th June, 2014: VIN has been working in Taluwa, Okhaldhunga since 2012 through different 4 major projects including Community health. Under public health program, toilet construction materials were distributed for 20 poor and needy people of Taluwa.
With the aim to declare Taluwa VDC as open defecation free zone and raising awareness on proper health and sanitation, VIN have been supporting for toilet construction. This 20 people were selected by the coordination committee formed by VIN. The materials such as Cement, Pipe, Rod, and Toilet Pan were distributed as the support for the selected people.
The rest of the locally available materials should be managed by themselves. About 2 months before other 20 peoples were provided with the same kind of support. VIN has aim to provide the support sequentially to all the needy people and finally declare Taluwa as open defecation free zone.
