20th June, 2014: VIN has been supporting in various program to community development. On June 17th and 18th, 2014 VIN has conducted Montessori trainings for two days in Jitpurphedi VDC, Kathmandu. Our international volunteer Prudence Ramsey from South Africa helped as a training facilitator. The training was conducted in Jitpur higher secondary school with participation of sixteen ECD teachers of nine different school of Jitpurphedi VDC. The main objectives of training were to teach Basic Montessori principle, correct use of Montessori teaching materials and the practical life learning area.
Many activities like, dry pouring,wet pouring,transferring from one bowl to another by hand,pegging,sponging,using tongs to transfer from one bowl to another,spooning,washing hands,washing clothes,hanging cloths after washing, using pegs,sweeping, use ofdustbin and brush,carpet sweeper,art area,Use of wastepaper bin, use of rubbish bin, placement of drying cloths and hand towels were practiced.
There were two participants from each school. All the participants were happy to participate in training. They were thankful to VIN and the volunteer for their wonderful contribution on ECD program.
