22nd May, 2014: VIN Nepal have been running different projects like children development, Youth empowerment, women empowerment, public health for empowering marginalized communities since 2012. From this educational year 2014 the organization has expanded its project to Thulachhap VDC with support in early childhood development centers. VIN supported nine ECDs in Thulachhap. Initially eighteen teachers, one teacher and one volunteer teacher from each nine ECD were provided one week training on special methodologies of teaching in child friendly environment by special trainer Diann Grimm from USA. The training was jointly organized by Volunteers Initiative Nepal and PiSL, America. In the training ECD teachers were found interested on learning child friendly teaching techniques and skills.
Along with supporting ECD centers, VIN has been assisting in constructing building for ECD in the wards where there is no room for running ECD class. Recently, construction of building for ECD class is completed in ward 9 of Taluwa VDC while other 3 are under construction in Thulachhap VDC.
The building was constructed in support of VIN with active participation of community people. Before it, children were compelled to study in open field and were facing many problems in learning in rainy, winter and summer seasons. Now children, parents and ECD teacher are very happy for having new building to run ECD class and are thankful to VIN for help and support for construction.
