Help Nepales Children to Speak, Read and Write in English

Hey everyone!

Thanks for taking the time to read my VIN post. My name is Angela, I am a student and I will spend 8 weeks this summer in a Buddhist monastery in Nepal teaching English to underprivileged children.

I have always been intrigued by Nepal but when I heard about the 7.8 earthquake that hit the country on April 25th I knew that I wanted to volunteer my time there and help the Nepalese community in any small way that I could.

From the moment I found Volunteers Initiative Nepal (VIN) I knew that this was the kind of organization that I definitely wanted to volunteer my time with. It is run by local people who truly understand the needs of the Nepalese communities. They have many programs and in very diverse areas such as women’s empowerment, children’s development or public health among others. Make sure to check out the Volunteers Initiative Nepal website and facebook page to find out more about all the wonderful work that they do

Any funds I raise will be going towards the organization as well as to teaching supplies, arts and crafts material, games and gifts that I would like to bring to the kids. It would really mean a lot to me if you could help me out by donating any amount. At the end of the eight weeks, I will share my experiences in Nepal with my donors. As an added perk I will send a postcard/small souvenir to any donor that asks for it, you just need to provide me with your mailing address. I ensure your contribution is going to a great cause

There is a link below where you can donate

Thank you so much!

Much Love,

Angela
