Volunteers Initiative Nepal (VIN) has organized sightseeing tour on 9th August 2015. A group of 19 volunteers participated in that tour. Among them 7 were from longterm volunteer program of August 1st Intake group and 12 were them from workcamp group of 6th August of Jitpur. The program was organized to provide the opportunity to closely observe and understand the Nepalese culture and beliefs. .The main objective of the program is to give the refreshment to the volunteers in the weekends.
VIN picked all the volunteers from Hotel Premium, Thamel at 11am. It has arranged the big tourist bus which made all the volunteers very comfort and relaxed. The sightseeing tour began from the Pashupati Nath temple to Boudhanath. Volunteers were very curious to know about many things of both sight.The local guide who was allocated by the VIN answered their queries and made them happy. During the tour Volunteers got to know about the many beliefs and tradition of Hinduism and Buddhism .This tour has also created the opportunity to both groups (long term group and workcamp group) to interact with each other and become more close to each other. Volunteers enjoyed a lot with the company of each other and had lots of photographs and selfies .
The tour was finished around 3:00 pm .Some people got off in bypass to go back to their host family and some went back to Thamel to enjoy the rest of the evening of weekend.
