Program Fees Human Resource Advisor,VIN

Do you work in Human Resource and are considering taking a career break?  Perhaps you are a human resource student looking to develop practical experience in your field?  If so, completing a volunteer placement or internship with VIN could be the answer.

VIN is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organisation and from our small, dedicated team of staff through to our local and international volunteers, people remain our most important asset.  We need talented volunteers and interns to help us make the most of what we have.

VIN’s principle objective is the empowerment of marginalised rural communities, with a focus on those most marginalised; women and children.  Since 2007 we have worked with Jitpurphedi Village Development Committee (VDC), 12 km from Kathmandu, and have recently begun work in Okhaldhunga district, in the Everest region.  Our work is based on the foundations of health, education, economic tools and the provision of basic infrastructure.  On these foundations we can build an empowered and independent community.

Since 2007, we have grown as an organisation, employing more staff and attracting more volunteers year after year.  Now we are looking for a volunteer or intern to bring the most up to date practices to VIN to ensure we make the most of our precious human resources.  You will help us to develop our human resource strategy, laying strong foundations for years to come.  You will help to develop the structure of VIN, determining job descriptions and a communication plan.  You will support our staff and volunteers through training and coaching.

During your placement you will work in VIN’s office and live in Kathmandu, hosted by a Nepali family.  You time with them will allow you a unique opportunity to become immersed in the language and culture in which you are working.
